Ugali and Sauted mushrooms

Ingredients

2 servings

1. African cake(Ugali) 1 cup of cornmeal

2. 2 cups Water

3. 2 Onions chopped into cubes

4. 6 tbspn cooking oil

5. Salt

6. 250 gms Minced beef

7. 1 tablespoon Grounded tumeric

8. 1/4 tablespoon black pepper

9. 1 clove crushed garlic

10. 1/2 pc capsicum

11. 1 bunch chopped coriander leaves

12. to taste Salt

13. 1/2 tomato puree

14. 1 chopped onion into cubes

15. Steamed kenyan Greens(Mchicha)

16. 2 bunches mchicha

17. to taste Salt

18. Steam




Steps

1. Assemble all ingredients and cooking items required to prepare the meal to avoid wastage of time and energy

Soak the mushroom in water to remove all the dirt.

Wash them like 3- 4 times

Put the mushroom to boil.aAdd some soda magadi to make it soft

Meanwhile, cut the onions,prepare the tomatoes puree to be used.

2. Wash and chop the greens

3. Put a pan on the heat,put 3tbspns of cooking oil and sauté the onions

4. Add the mushrooms

5. Stir for like 8min,season as preferred and put aside

6. Boil the minced meat till water is over in it

7. Put oil in a pan

8. Saute the onions till golden brown in colour

9. Add all the spices and season.

10. Add the minced meat

11. Cook for about 8min

12. In a separate pan,put water almost half full

13. Bring the water to boil

14. Add baking soda to prevent loosing its colour

15. Dip the Kenyan greens into the pan almost full, leave for 6 min,season and serve as desired.
